Lee made some miserable performance in the recent Australia tour of India. In this test series, Lee could just get eight wickets in the four matches he has played and invited a lot of criticism. He was seriously censured for this performance by the media in his home country. This also led to criticism of his selection in to the team for the next Australian tour to New Zealand.

Probably Lee felt that he should explain why he had such dismal performance in the previous series. He blamed the food he was given in India and said that food poisoning was the reason for his poor performance. He said that he was very uncomfortable whenever he ate the Indian food and also said that he lost 5 Kg in the tour in India. Lee suffered from fever several times in his tour in India which is also attributed to the kind of food he had in India.

Now back in Australia, he said that he feels much better and energetic and said that he would get back to his form in the next series against kiwis. Lee’s dismal performance was one of the reasons for Australia’s humiliating defeat against India in the series with 2-0
